Calling all sex worker-led groups, what are you doing to mark International Women’s Day 8th March 2020?
Does the Women’s movements in your country include our calls as sex workers for human rights, labour rights and decriminalisation? Is the International Women’s Day an opportunity to advocate for inclusion of sex workers’ rights?
Allow us to share an insight into the inspiring efforts of sex worker groups to ensure our voices are heard on this day, and our rights as sex workers, included in general calls for women’s rights. We are asking sex worker-led organisations to share:
- A short text (in any language) on reflections on how sex workers engage with both the International Women’s Day efforts and the Women’s Movement more generally in their country.
- Any pictures you would like us to share linked to the theme of International Women’s Day alongside your text.
Please send us your pictures and texts by March 5th for us to collate and publish an overview in time for International Women’s Day 2020. Our hope in collating the views and efforts of sex worker led groups is to make sex worker voices as visible as possible on the day.
