I demand the decriminalisation of sex work in my country, and everywhere where it is criminalised, so that sex workers can enjoy the same rights and benefits like everyone else. I also demand the recognition of sex work as work.

I left.… and thought I would go to a country where I would not have to face problems such as homophobia and discrimination. I was just looking for a better life. However, I faced homophobia and discrimination here too, as I did in Romania.

Unfortunately, the government forgets us and our rights, does not talk to us directly, and does not propose any real help when there is a crisis like the covid pandemic. I would like to tell them that sex work is also work.

Everything is very, very, very hard, because I am Romanian and I am discriminated because of this. I wish other Romanians and colleagues of other nationalities would not have the problems I had. I wish there was no more racism in this country.

We want the government to help us, because we need assistance, but little is done. Some dislike and disrespect our job. They are, nonetheless, willing to use our services.

To work safely and securely, sex work should be decriminalized in all countries, so that we would be able to work abroad on a legal basis.

I hope that things will get better in that country that has welcomed me so warmly. However, stigmatisation is always present. I am a trans-girl and don't have the same rights as other people.
