Call for contributions to TAMPEP Newsletter on Regional Issues for Migrant and Mobile Sex Workers’ to be released on International Sex Workers’ Rights Day

Dear TAMPEP members, supporters and friends,

On the 2nd of June 1975, sex workers in Lyon occupied the Church of St Nizier to protest police corruption and arrests. We now mark this day as Sex Workers’ Rights Day!

To mark this occasion, TAMPEP is preparing a newsletter to highlight regional migrant and mobile sex worker activities and struggles across Europe. As a migrant sex worker network, we seek to build stronger partnerships to advocate for the rights of migrant and mobile sex workers across Europe. One important means to do this is by sharing information among our members and highlighting our national and regional struggles to other European networks and organisations.

We are reaching out to you to ask if you could provide a short text (approximately half a page) about a current issue concerning migrant sex workers rights in your country/region to support our efforts to share this information across our regional members and to ally organisations. If you would like to share a statement that is in some other language than English, feel free to do so. In this case, it would be helpful to write couple of sentences in English elaborating what the text is about. Adding a picture to illustrate your text would be a great bonus!

The deadline for the text is 22th of May.

We look forward to hearing from you and please let us know if we can support your submission in any way!

Please send all submissions to: coordinator@tampep.eu

In Solidarity,
Anastacia, TAMPEP Coordinator
